Why hello tharr

I havent been the most active, have I?

To be perfectly honest, I havent drawn much worth showing these past few months. I am hoping that will change, but right now i have been drawing angel christmas cards to hopefully license out via my agent.  Im pretty sick of drawing angels, however.  But theres almost always one thing about a picture or a group of pictures/project I am particularly happy with.... so I thought i'd post it just for anyone whos reading. (is anyone? helloooo? are you out there?).

I just like this face. More than the actual face, but the technique involved in rendering it and the effect i'm getting to come though - it looks quite natural but its heavy digital on top of heavy pencil. What do you think?  (the eyes are the only digital-looking part, I had to correct them)

Garden girl revisited

You know how you look at an image and you think 'something's missing...' and then it twigs, and you correct it, and suddenly it becomes a whole pile of awesome you never really imagined? Yeah. That happened here.

Why so shy?

another digital girl. She's a bit more approachable, perhaps.

Stuff and things

A recent commission for Leitch & CO solicitors (website coming soon). Landmarks of evesham! It reminded me how much architecture fustrates me. I can't get things even, ever. all them angles and mathmatical lengths, gah!

more old things

I just remembered that I did these right at the end of my 3rd year, but they never made their way into my portfolio nor on to any art sites I participate in. they are portraits of two influential aisian writers, Bidisha and Bali Rai. I did them as a commission for Mantra Lingua, a childrens book publisher that specialises in publishing in minority languages. though I am unsure if they ever were used.

A Norwegian *cough* i mean, RPG landscape.

Heavily inspired by Norwegian beauty, this is just a little peek at what im working on currently. Its taking forever, because I havent painted in PS from scratch since FOREVER. And I never do landscapes.

I am unusually proud of the water in the bottom right corner.
